This sedimentary rock, otherwise called “Nanto Stone”, is available in two varieties: light Giallo Dorato – with iso-oriented macrofossils in a golden sand matrix, and red-type Giallo Dorato – with smaller fossils in a yellow ochre matrix.
This modern material is characterized by its typical grey colour. It shares the same geological origins of Giallo Dorato; the only difference being the grey colour of the calcareous background.
Pietra del mare
This compact bright straw-yellow stone is characterized by a sedimentary matrix which often includes small fossils. Its uniform and radiant colour makes it particularly suitable for wide external facades.
Pietranova is a cement agglomerate composed of Vicenza stone grit, white Portland cement and water. It is a new material, produced exclusively by Grassi Pietre, and represents the perfect combination of the beauty of natural stone and a mix of physical-mechanical characteristics that only the technological vanguard can guarantee.
As a Limestone, it tends to grow hard with time, because of its calcareous structure.
Available in different colour gradations, the various Vicenza stone types – Bianco Avorio, Giallo Dorato, Pietra del Mare,Grigio Argento and Grigio Alpi – can be also produced in honed, brushed, striated, bush-hammered, sandblasted finish.
Bespoke finishes are also available on request.
